  1. GWMAA Online Privacy Policy

The Greater West Melbourne Athletic Association (GWMAA) provides this online privacy policy to demonstrate our commitment to privacy by disclosing our information gathering and dissemination practices for the GWMAA web sites, www.gwmaa.org and www.gwmaa.com. This notice is provided in compliance with and in support of the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) of 1998.

  3. Information Gathered While Browsing
  4. The GWMAA web sites do not gather personal information such as name, address, age, or e-mail address while browsing. Certain computer related information is collected while browsing the web sites. This information is the name of the domain of your computer (e.g., aol.com), the Internet Protocol (IP) address of your computer, the web browser software you are using, the operating system type of your computer, the date and time of your access to the GWMAA web sites, and the Internet address of the web site from which you linked to the GWMAA sites. No personally identifiable information is collected with the computer information.

    This information is used to measure the number of visitors to the GWMAA sites, to help make the sites more useful, and to provide site access statistics to sponsors who may advertise on the GWMAA web sites. The data is analyzed in aggregate form only.

    The GWMAA web sites do not use Internet cookies.

  5. Information Gathered When Contacting GWMAA

When contacting GWMAA by e-mail or by the online contact form, your e-mail address and other contact information provided in the body of your e-mail is used for the purposes of replying to your question or other request for information from GWMAA. Your e-mail address is not sold to any organization, company, or group. Your e-mail address is not shared with any other organization, company, or group without your prior permission, and then only as an individual case to address your question or request for information. (For example, it may be necessary to forward your question to another organization such as the Brevard County Youth Football and Cheerleading Association.) E-mail lists are not shared outside of GWMAA.

  7. Information Gathered During Online Registrations
  8. From time to time, GWMAA conducts online registration as a convenience to our members. Personal information such as name, address, telephone number, player's birthdate, and e-mail address are collected by the web sites at the time of registrtation. This information is used for league purposes only, and is not shared with any other organization, company, or group. Your e-mail address and other registration information is not sold to any organization, company, or group.

    GWMAA uses PayPal® to collect registration fees. Note that PayPal has its own online privacy policy which is different than this policy. PayPal's privacy policy may be reviewed by clicking the "Privacy" link from their homepage.

  9. Information Concerning GWMAA Web Site Content
  10. The GWMAA web sites may contain news or photographs of association and league activities such as games and social events. These news stories or photographs may contain the names, ages, or jersey numbers of children participating in these activities. Any such item will be deleted or modified to remove identifying information upon request of any parent or guardian whose child appears in a news story or photograph. Requests for modification or deletion of these items should be directed to the GWMAA Webmaster at webmaster@gwmaa.org.
