The Greater West Melbourne Athletic Association (GWMAA) is dedicated to implanting in the youth of Brevard County, Florida the ideals of good sportsmanship, loyalty, courage, respect for others and authority, and the importance of teamwork; to promote physical fitness, healthy habits, and personal well-being; and to provide an atmosphere that encourages mature responsible behavior.

Located at Max K. Rodes Park on Minton Road in West Melbourne, FL, GWMAA provides competition opportunities for boys and girls in the team sports of Baseball, Softball, Basketball, Cheerleading,  Football, and Wrestling.
The 15th Annual Wild Game Party will be held at Rodes Park on April 3, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 and include all-you-can-eat venison, turkey, bear, chicken, and catfish. There will be door prizes, 50/50 drawings, and dancing. Procedes benefit GWMAA and the Melbourne Rotary Club Charities. Call 321-508-2753 for tickets or contact the GWMAA president.

West Melbourne Seeks Your Help

An active and involved family of our West Melbourne athletic community (Little League, football, cheerleading, and basketball) has suffered two separate tragedies this year which have hospitalized the family's mother and one of their children for long term care. The child is hospitalized in Orlando, and the mother in Melbourne. In addition to the emotional burden that this has placed on the family, a deep financial burden has been created as well. We ask for your help in offsetting the costs of gas, tolls, and the care of the family's other children and needs. At this time of year, it is difficult for our organization to conduct a fundraiser, so we are asking for any direct donations for their support.
