The Greater West Melbourne Athletic Association (GWMAA) is dedicated to implanting in the youth of Brevard County, Florida the ideals of good sportsmanship, loyalty, courage, respect for others and authority, and the importance of teamwork; to promote physical fitness, healthy habits, and personal well-being; and to provide an atmosphere that encourages mature responsible behavior.

Located at Max K. Rodes Park in West Melbourne, FL, GWMAA provides competition opportunities for boys and girls in the team sports of Baseball, Softball, Basketball, CheerleadingFootball.


The Greater West Melbourne Athletic Association mourns the loss of Eric Coon, who passed away on Wednesday evening. Coach Coon was a WM football & basketball coach, father, and friend to all. He was head coach of the 2010 WM Spurs Rookie football team. He will be be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.

Several benefits for the Coon family are planned. Please see the list of dates for these events. Cash Donations can be made to any Wells Fargo bank to the "Coon Family Fund".


The Annual Wild Game Party will be held in conjunction with the Melbourne Rotary on Feb. 18 at 7 pm at Camp Holly. For more information or to buy tickets, contact the GWMAA President. Adults only please.

Monthly board meetings are held at Max K. Rodes Park in West Melbourne. Little League board meetings are held at the baseball field. Football/Cheerleading board meetings are held at the football fields. Special meetings are in Red.
